“Mythbusters” challenge thoughts (100k steps in a day)

Actually, I'm very really super skeptical about ability to achieve 100k steps in a day. However, sometimes I see people doing it. Doing 75+k every day and sometimes even 100k in a day.
Therefore, my goal is to try to do it by myself “to prove the concept” and I need a plan. A solid one and at least one "plan B' if (when) something will go wrong.
According to calculations my step average numbers are:
• Walking at comfortable pace is about 6 500 steps/hour
• Running at comfortable pace is about 10 000 steps/hour
Until now, I’ve never ran more than 10 km or walked more than 45 km in a day in my life. It’s going to be a real challenge!

Let’s assume start time is 6:00 and finish should be around 22:00 => I have 16 hours.
Definitely there will be minor and major breaks in activity => running is inevitable and more I want to rest, more I have to run.
Let’s be optimistic (in Plan A) and suppose, I could run for 3 hours => ~ 30k could be done by running => 13 hours left.
70k by walking = 11 hours => ~ 2 hours left for rest (2 x 30 minutes [breakfast and lunch] + 3 x 20 minutes)

What would you suggest me in reaching the goal? How should I distribute activity through the day?

Galliot - assume I go to a large recreational area where there is no car and start making walking loops in circles watching movies so I don't get bored. The GPS tracking will show a track similar to one in the attachment (you see the thick round circle in the middle - it's me circling on a school playground for about 1 hour. Is this going to be counted as a good proof? Or should I also attach the second image that will show how many steps and calories were burned along the way? Will that be enough to comply with the rules of your challenge?

Regarding your comment on your challenge, I'm here to tell you, both times that Steve has earned over 100K steps he worked for it. No, it was not all walking but no he did not cheat either. He not only does workouts in the very early am, he manually works very hard during the day and then will do another 1 or 2 workouts in the evening plus we have adapted the park far away and walk to our destination. So Galliot, I'm here to tell you the man works very hard, he's almost 59 and even though in your eyes it's not all "steps" it's still the activity converted to steps via our devices and he earns every bit of them if not more (hate when you don't get credit for steps when you're carrying something :( . Good luck bud, I still believe you can do it and yes, I agree some people cheat however we believe in 'it's not worth cheating yourself for a few stars', seriously who does that???

In theory it's a 50 mile day, do a 25 mile in the am, rest and then do another 25 mile in the early evening. Good luck
